Music composition/recording

Post  TheOddGoat on Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:27 pm

Hi!

I'm Tim, I'm a 20-year-old musician and student and I would like to help compose music/sound when the time comes that you want it.

I play guitar and keyboard, but have a decent suite of midi instruments to use too, including EWQL libraries and toontrack drums. I have some examples of using them to compose and to transcribe other peoples' pieces to prove my ear is good.

Nothing I have up is really dark like the idea of this VN, but that's because it is either written to order or put out there for a very general audience. I can definitely do grim, dark music and sounds too. Having read the brief synopsis you have up, I think there could even be room for some cool stuff using samples of hissing steam and cogs grinding?

I sent Xveas some links to transcriptions played by midi, covers, original work done for fun, original work done to order etc. that I have done and he said he will post some here.

I hope people like the stuff!

Oh, and I have the first 6 hours of an H.R. Giger themed full sleeve tattoo done on my arm so I can dig the biomechanical/steampunk aesthetic ;-)

Hey everyone. I've been talking with our friend Tim here and have personally reviewed his material. I'll post it here for everyone else to view. If anyone has time, I suggest watching it all. I am most impressed by his cover work, and Goulding Guitar demo. Here are the links he provided for me:

He already has my approval, and I welcome him aboard our Dev team. Everyone make him feel at home here.

If anyone does not approve this music I'll personally go to them and hit them with something hard and uncomfortable in their heads.

Welcome to the team!

One thing I love is how the music made me think of Serial Experiments Lains first soundtrack (and a bit of Saya No Uta actually). I think you can make something as amazingly creepy like that.
